The golf tournament was established by the Chamber's Board over 20 years ago, as a program to benefit the Chamber's Foundation endowment and fund both endowned and tournament scholarships for youth annually.
Funds supporting the Chamber Foundation come predominantly from area companies and individuals—often in memory of a particular person, and are either annual awards or endowments. The Chamber’s Scholarship Committee selects student winners based on all-around excellence, with demonstrated leadership skills, an outstanding academic record and other achievements and activities, both in and out of school. In May, we hold a scholarship breakfast where we recognize the winners. Last year scholarships totaled $47,000 to 24 outstanding area high school seniors.

The 27th Annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, June 3, 2013.
